The 9th annual Balkan Entertainment and Gaming Exhibition (BEGE) Expo 2016, which is the most significant event of the gaming industry in the Balkans and Eastern Europe, was held on the 23-24 of November in Sofia (Bulgaria).
Over 60 companies took a part in the event, and many of them are new exhibitors such as Betomall, CPI, Imperia Games, KOTWA - The Shuffle King Company, Info-kod, Moniko, Merkur Gaming, Spintec, Adcartwall, Roulette 73 and many others.
BEGE Awards 2016 ceremony took place on 24th November. There were 12 different categories as well as special awards this year. The following companies were awarded for their contribution to the gambling industry:
- NOVOMATIC Gaming Industries - in the category “Unique casino product concept”;
- ADVANSYS - in the category “Most complete casino management system”;
- Apex gaming - in the category “Most innovative live game product”;
- Casino Technology - in the category “Unique landbased to online solution”;
- BetConstruct - in the category “Unique platform solution”;
- SUZOHAPP - in the category “Most diverse component portfolio”;
- NYX Gaming Group - in the category “Best iGaming platform and game aggregator”;
- Interblock - in the category “Most diverse multiplayer electronic table portfolio”;
- IGT - in the category “Most innovative multigame interface”;
- Innovative Technology - in the category “Most complex cash handling portfolio”.
There were also additional awards for the gaming industry development for 2016.
- Alfastreet Gaming Instruments - in the category “Most popular electronic roulette for 2016”;
- Alpha Display - in the category “Commitment to the region for 2016”;
- Merkur Gaming - in the category “BEGE exhibitor debut for 2016”.
After the awarding ceremony, the event was discussed by the Bulgarian Gambling Commission.
Organisers of BEGE Expo began preparation for the next event. The tenth exhibition will be held in November 2017 in Inter Expo Center in Sofia.
